MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- It was a weekend of second chances and new beginnings in Whitehaven Saturday.

Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich hosted yet another expungement event at Southland Mall.

It as aimed at helping citizens with drivers license and child support issues get back on the right track

Weirich says the event was a one stop shop that can save people a lot of time and money.

“So instead of having to take 3 days off of work and meet with three different agencies we’ve brought them all here under one roof and hopefully we can give some people some help even on this less than beautiful day,” Weirich explained.

There were also booths set up to give people information on tuition free schooling and ways to overcome barriers to employment.

The idea for restoration Saturday grew out of a meeting last year from a group called Pastors, Police and Presecutors whose mission is improving Memphis.
