MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Investigators with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the TBI are at the home of Taquila Hayes Monday, who has been missing for more than two months.

The SCSO tweeted Monday morning: “SCSO investigators are on the scene on Starcross Avenue searching the home of Taquila Hayes. Investigators are looking for clues in connection with her disappearance. SCSO is still asking for anyone with information about the disappearance of Taquila Hayes to contact 222-5600.”

A Local 24 News crew also spotted a TBI investigative unit at the scene Monday, and say they saw a car being towed. The TBI sent this statement: “Our role is limited, but I can confirm TBI Special Agent/Forensic Scientists are assisting the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in the search for evidence in connection to the disappearance of Taquila Hayes.”

According to the Shelby CountySheriff’s Office, the last day Hayes reported to her job at Methodist Hospitalwas May 21. Her family claims the last time her husband saw her was June8. 

Hayes’family said they became worried when they found out she wasn’t present at herson’s birthday in early August, which is something they say she would nevermiss.

RobertaNutall is Hayes’ mother and filed the missing person report Friday, August 9th,after she learned no one had seen her daughter in more than two months.

“Ijust don’t have any hope after everything I’ve heard and gotten,” Nutall said.“I don’t think my daughter is alive.”

Local24 News learned last week that police reports from 2012 show missing woman,Taquila Hayes, filed a domestic violence report against her husband. 

Inthe report, Hayes said she and her husband were separated at the time, so heasked if they could meet to discuss something about their son. She claims hedid not want to go through with a divorce that she was seeking, so he slappedand choked her until she was able to get away.

Herfamily is worried that something violent could have happened right before shedisappeared. 

SamanthaHenderson is Hayes’ sister and claims Hayes’ husband lied to her about hersister’s whereabouts. 

“Isaid you lied,” Henderson said. “You know I kept asking about her. You lied.And I said when is the last time you seen my sister? He stated the first weekin June.”
