Shelby County Schools to give “ACT Playbook” to help prepare students

The Shelby County School district is trying to help students better prepare for the ACT.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)– The Shelby County School district is trying to help students better prepare for the ACT.

The district is launching what it calls its ACT Playbook. Schools will receive a handbook implementing requirements for students to be exposed to the test starting in the 9th grade.

Quarterly workshops will be organized for 9th and 10th graders, and those students will also have to take the PSAT to expose them to ACT type questions.

The goal is to help students understand why the test is important towards their life post-high school.
