The St. Francis County Sheriff’s Department says one man is dead and a suspect charged after a weekend fight over a mobile home.

Investigators say they were called to the Heth community in St. Francis County about 4:45 p.m. Sunday. They found Donald Dishon on the ground, shot several times. He was airlifted from the scene, but later died.

Investigators say the suspected shooter, Travis Pulliam, was still at the scene. They say Pulliam and the victim had been involved in a legal dispute over a mobile home. They say the victim bought the home from Pulliam, but Pulliam had recently regained possession through court proceedings.

Investigators say the victim was reportedly armed and confronted people hired by Pulliam to clean out the trailer, and made them leave. They say Pulliam showed up after that, and the two began shooting at each other. Deputies say the victim was shot in the back as he was running away. They say after the victim fell, Pulliam then fired several more rounds into him and went to reload his handgun.

When found at the scene, deputies say Pulliam had a second handgun in his pocket.

Pulliam was originally charged with first degree battery, but the charge is expected to be upgraded since the victim died. Pulliam is set to be arraigned Wednesday in St. Francis County.
