Teen Indicted In Dice Game Homicide

A 19-year-old was indicted Tuesday on a charge of second-degree murder for the shooting death of another teen after an argument during a dice game.

A 19-year-old was indicted Tuesday on a charge of second-degree murder for the shooting death of another teen after an argument during a dice game.

JoeVon Henderson, who was 17-years-old at the time of the murder, was transferred from Juvenile Court to be tried as an adult.

The incident happened on April 20, 2017 around 11:30 p.m., at a house in the 200 block of Vaal Ave.  During the investigation, detectives found that during the dice game, there was an argument over money right before 19-year-old Kelton Guy was shot and killed Henderson.

Henderson is being held in the Shelby County Jail on $150,000 bond.
