MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- People of different religions came together for a display of unity in faith on Sunday.

The “I AM US” Peace and Unity Festival was held at the Pink Palace Museum in East Memphis.

The “US” in the title of event has a double meaning, expressing the us as a community and the US as the United States.

Organizers say coming together as a country starts right here at local events like this.

“Humanity must be the best listen to me carefully we’re all human beings whether Indian, American, Russian or Christian Islamic Hindu any religion any cast we’re all human beings,” said Sri Sri Sri Viswayogi Visawamjee Maharaj.

At least 8 different religions were represented at the event.
