The teen wanted for a murder in Southaven earlier this month is now in custody. 18-year-old Tyrus Montess Broom turned himself in just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday to Southaven Police.
Broom was wanted for a murder that happened on Friday, March 3rd at the Legacy Crossing Apartments on Highway 51 in Southaven. Lonnie Jones, IV, 19, was killed. An 18-year-old male was injured and has since been released from the hospital.
Broom was booked on a charge of murder. No bond has been set.
