The Brooks Museum of Art in Memphis has pulled something special out of its hat for the newest outdoor exhibit. Five giant, inflatable rabbits have invaded the front entrance of the museum as part of an exhibit by Australian artist Amanda Parer.

This is the second installment in the Brooks Outside series. The exhibit is called “Intrude”, which is a reference to some of the environmental concerns rabbits have caused in other parts of the world.

“She was kind of addressing the issues in Australia that rabbits have caused to the environment,” says Andria Lisle, associate curator for Brooks. “They were brought in by white settlers in the 18th century and just destroyed the ecosystems of Australia by multiplying as rabbits do.”

The outdoor exhibit will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. through January 29th.

The museum will also be giving away daily prizes to people who post their bunny pictures to Instagram using the #BrooksMuseumBunnies.
