A Cordova man makes a horrific discovery Saturday morning.

Corin Love found the bodies of two men dead inside of a car in a Cordova park.  Memphis Police say the men were found off Dexter Road in front of Fletcher Park.

Love tells Local 24 exclusively he was with his son playing Pokemon Go when he noticed Chevy Cobolt parked in the front part of the parking lot of the park.  He looked inside and saw the bodies of two men and immediately called 911.

Memphis Police say the bodies were discovered around 9:45 Saturday morning.  Love says at first some of the members of his group thought the men were asleep.  Love says he walked up to the car and noticed both men had gunshot wounds.  Memphis Police are investigating this as a homicide.  Love says he’s thankful his teenage son did not notice the men first.  He says it’s extremely alarming because the park is less than a mile from Chimneyrock Elementary School.

“I was just like wow, that was my first time ever seeing a dead body, I guess outside a casket. I especially didn’t expect to see that at a park where traffic is pretty busy at this park on the weekends so it’s crazy,” Love explained.

Local 24 News crime tracked the area and in the last month, mainly drug related offenses were reported near Fletcher Park.  Police have not made any arrests.  If you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
