The Memphis Fire Department needs your help identifying the woman believed to be responsible for setting fires inside an East Memphis Target store.
MFD responded to a fire at the store at 601 Colonial Road, Saturday, December 2 at 11:55 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they reported smoke visible inside the store.
Target employees had put the fire out, before fire crews arrived. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson.
Memphis Fire Investigators obtained surveillance video they say shows an unidentified woman who entered Target, completely filled a shopping cart with merchandise, and then intentionally set two fires in different locations.
As the smoke increased and spread throughout the store, the suspect quickly exited Target without paying for the merchandise.
She is seen in the video getting into a burgundy/maroon, four-door sedan.
There were no injuries. This is an ongoing investigation.
