CNN Newsource– Comedian Bill Cosby is asking a judge to toss out his sexual assault convictionin Pennsylvania. His attorneys filed an appeal Tuesday, saying his convictionwas flawed.
Theysay the testimony by his victim, Andrea Constand, was different from statementsby five other accusers who testified in his trial.
The appealalso says Cosby’s civil deposition – where he admitted giving sedatives towomen in the 19-70’s – should not have been allowed in the trial.
The attorneysalso say Pennsylvania had agreed to never prosecute Cosby for what he said inthat deposition.
The81-year-old comedian was convicted last year, and he’s now serving athree-to-ten-year sentence.
