(CNN) – In Rome, Pope Francis compared a woman getting an abortion to someone hiring a hitman.
The Pope, making the analogy while speaking to an anti-abortion conference Saturday, went on to criticize what he says is a culture of fear and hostility towards disability in children, and the subsequent choice of abortion.
The Pope is reiterating the church’s belief at a time when several U.S. states have passed very strict anti-abortion laws.
