IKEA has agreed to pay $46 million to the family of a california toddler killed by a dresser.
Two-year-old Jozef Dudek died in 2017 after an IKEA dresser tipped and fell on him. His parents argued in court that the furniture store should have done more to inform them about a recall on the dresser.
It’s believed to be the largest settlement in the wrongful death of a child in U.S. history. In 2016, IKEA awarded three families to split $50 million after similar wrongful death lawsuits.
