MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – More than 70,000 Shelby County Schools students are considered to be economically disadvantaged, and you have an opportunity to support these students and help keep them warm this winter through Operation Warm Hearts.
Shelby County School’s 5th Annual Operation Warm Hearts event will be held Tuesday, December 3, at 160 S. Hollywood, Shelby County Board of Education, from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
This event is being held in conjunction with the national Giving Tuesday initiative and the 901’s #GiveMemphis campaign.
Over the past few years, Operation Warm Hearts has provided coats for thousands of students to ensure they stay warm during the winter months.
Last year, donations totaled over $18,000, including hundreds of coats, other winter clothing and over $6,000 in monetary donations.
