On Newsfeed Now for March 6, our top story follows recovery efforts in Alabama after 34 tornadoes ripped through the state Sunday killing 23 in Lee County. Newsfeed Now is taking part in the Disaster Relief Telethon being put on by WKRG and the Red Cross. Devon Walsh will be on the phone lines and talk about where the money will go and how it will help the victims. 

At 6:10 in today’s show, the day after Fat Tuesday is the religious day known as Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. Lora Lavigne (KLFY) joins us with how one group is remembering the day in a unique way. 

Up next at 8:47, a New Jersey family’s vacation quickly took a dark turn as they drove along I-24 in Whites Creek and got caught in the middle of a massive landslide. WKRN’s Linda Ong brings us the story. 

And finally at 14:22 we bring you a courtside story from east Texas. A basketball player is getting plenty of social media love after a highlight hoop video goes viral. Matthew Thibideaux (KETK) shares his story.
