Donald Trump, Jr., in Oxford to campaign for Republican candidate for Mississippi governor

Donald Trump, Jr. spent Thursday in Mississippi to try to drum up support for Republican candidate for Mississippi governor, Tate Reeves.

OXFORD, Miss, (localmemphis.com) – Donald Trump, Jr. spent Thursday in Mississippi to try to drum up support for Republican candidate for Mississippi governor, Tate Reeves.

Reeves posted a photo on Facebook showing the pair with hunting rifles. He said they spent the afternoon in Purvis enjoying their second amendment rights with local supporters.

Thursday evening they took part in the Good Ole Boys and Gals Barbecue in Oxford. Secret Service kept us away from the event, but Reeves streamed it on his Facebook page. Trump had a message for Reeves supporters.

“Get out there and support Tate. But stay active. Don’t just show up to vote. That’s important. Call your friends, bring them with you. Know where to go. I promise you, the other side is mobilizing,” said Trump, Jr.

President Trump will be in Tupelo November 1 at the BancorpSouth Arena to campaign for Reeves.
