Mississippi primaries: Race for DeSoto County Supervisor District 4

Voters cast ballots in the primary for DeSoto County Supervisor District 4 Tuesday.

(localmemphis.com) – Voters cast ballots in the primary for DeSoto County Supervisor District 4 Tuesday.

In the Republican primary, incumbent Lee Perkins Caldwell faced off against embattled businessman Kendall Prewett.

Caldwell easily won the primary with 74% of the vote with 100% of precincts reporting.

As Local I-Team Senior Investigator Jeni Dipizio first reported several weeks ago, Prewett is in the middle of an EEOC lawsuit. He’s accused of using offensive and racial remarks against black employees. (MORE HERE.)

There aren’t any democratic opponents.
