THOMASVILLE, Ga. (localmemphis.com) – The company that makes several brands of hamburger and hot dog buns which are sold in the Mid-South has issued a voluntary recall.

Flower Foods, Inc. issued the recall due to the products possibly having small pieces of hard plastic in them which could cause a choking hazard.

The products being recalled are sold under a variety of brand names and were distributed in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

Small pieces of hard plastic was found in production equipment. No related injuries or illnesses have been reported.

People should not eat these products.

If you have any of the listed products in your cabinet, you should throw it out or return it to the store where you bought it for or a full refund.
