A soggy pattern is beginning as the well above normal temperatures continue. Look for on and off rain tonight with mild lows in the 60s. Heavier rains are possible Wednesday as upper-air disturbances jet through the region.
A very strong cold front will move through Thursday bringing the chance for storms. Some of the storms could have gusty winds. Our models are showing an intense line moving across the Mississippi River anywhere from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday.
The air will turn sharply cooler Thursday night. In fact, we could have a 40 degree drop in temps from Noon Thursday into Friday morning. Friday and Saturday will be cold. Rain could return again after this system departs as early as Sunday. You know we’ll keep you posted.
