Opinion | Facts matter just as much as words, if not more | Richard Ransom

Local 24 News Anchor Richard Ransom discusses in his Ransom Note about Governor Lee finally acknowledging that Joe Biden will be our next president.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — In tonight’s Ransom Note:  facts matter.

Earlier this week, I talked about how words matter.

But facts matter just as much, if not more.

Guess what. Today, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee admitted Joe Biden will be the next president.

How about that? It took two months, 60 frivolous lawsuits, a total lack of evidence, total lack of courage, and an insurrection for a sitting governor to stop enabling all the liars and just the truth.

I continue to be amazed at the emails I get, the voicemails, and the nasty messages on social media just because we call Joe Biden President-Elect.

We say it because he is.

The election wasn’t stolen.

There was no hoax.

Nothing was rigged.

And our governor, senators, and congressmen know that, but would rather enable the lies.

It’s time for our leaders to act like leaders and tell their voters the truth.
