MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – We’ve seen stories of dedicated NBA team fans, but this one tops the list. This father and son duo has been Memphis Grizzlies fans for years, and you’ll have to see their jersey and memorabilia collection to believe us.

Antonio Braxton Sr. has been a fan since the Memphis Grizzlies came to the bluff city in 2001. He was only 25. He’s since has passed on his love for the team to his son, and the Grizzlies have definitely strengthened their bond.

If you go into the Braxton’s Grizzlies room, you’ll see memorabilia literally from the floor to the ceiling. It started when the team came to Memphis in 2001.

“I still have the first ticket to the first ever game against the Detroit Pistons. The first program with Lorenzen Wright on it,” says Antonio Braxton Sr.

That’s when his obsession started.  He has so many jerseys, he’s lost count.

“The All-Star jerseys is kind of hard. I haven’t seen too many of those,” he says.

Braxton’s all time favorite player is Z-bo, Zach Randolph.

“His first season here, he was an All-Star and Marc when he got hurt at the end of the 2010 season, we would have went to the playoffs that year,” says Braxton.

His love for the team was passed down to his 8-year-old son, Antonio Braxton Jr. Junior’s Grizz jersey collection has more than 1 million views on Instagram.

Braxton says he is proud he passed down his love of the Grizzlies to his son.

“The franchise mean everything to me. Not only what they do on the court, but also what they do for St. Jude, with the charter schools, they really do a lot within our community,” he says.

Braxton says although the team didn’t make it to the playoffs this year, he’s hopeful for next season with the new coach.
