MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Memphis Tiger football fans are fired up for the U of M’s historic appearance in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl.
But to get tickets, the deadline passed Wednesday for a priority reservation ticket through the Tigers box office. The university’s been given 12,500 seats. Fans and players think that won’t be a problem.
“We’re fired up. This is the biggest game. I mean obviously last week was huge, but now we get to play on the biggest stage. I’m excited to get down to Dallas, it’s going to be really fun. We’ve got a lot of things planned. We start practice next week, so I’m ready to get going,” said Preston Brady, Tigers Football Player
“This is the biggest thing that’s ever happened. I mean Cotton Bowl, biggest bowl Memphis has ever been to. Even with all that’s going on,” said Tigers fan Tal Brower.
A limited number of free tickets will be available for current students beginning at 8 Thursday morning. At that time students can buy a guest ticket for $25. The Goodyear Cotton Bowl is Saturday, December 28 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
