MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – The Memphis Tigers are going green during football season.
Thanks to a grant from the university’s Green Fee allocation, recyclingbins will be offered in tailgate locations at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
The grant came after three U of M students submitted a proposal toadd the service in the fall.
During a normal home game, there is enough trash to fill two30-yard dumpster bins. The grant provides 50 recycling bins, trash bags, andany additional products needed to move the recyclables.
Aluminum cans, plastic bottles, paper, and cardboard will all beaccepted for recycling.
