Shelby County Deputy involved in two car crash in Frayser

One person was transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, but is now stable. the deputy was transported to the hospital as a precaution.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County Sheriff's Office said an accident is under investigation after one of its deputies crashed with another vehicle on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

SCSO said the accident happened at 12:30 a.m. at Thomas St. and Whitney Ave.

One person was transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. That person was later upgraded to stable condition.

SCSO said a deputy was transported to Regional One Hospital for precaution. The deputy did not suffer from any apparent injury, SCSO said.

A SCSO patrol deputy was involved in a two-vehicle accident at 12:30 am at Thomas St. & Whitney Ave. Two people were transported to ROH by MFD, one critical & the other non-critical. The deputy did not appear to suffer any apparent injury but was transported to Methodist University for precautionary reasons and was later released. The person with critical injuries at Regional One was upgraded to stable. This accident remains under investigation.
