HILLVILLE, Tenn. — The National Weather Service continues their damage survey's for the Mid-South. So far, we have had three confirmed tornadoes in our viewing area. Now, a fourth has been added from Haywood County, Tennessee.
According to the National Weather Service, an EF-1 tornado snapped trees, damaged the roofs to two houses, a barn, and an outbuilding near Jim Hardister Road. The storm also shifted one home off its cinderblock.
The storm was short-lived and only stayed on the ground for 0.26 miles. The tornado was only 70 yards wide with wind speeds around 95 mph.
The National Weather Service will continue their survey's and we will update you if they confirm more tornadoes in our viewing area. There have been more than 20 confirmed tornadoes from the severe weather that crossed the Southeast this weekend.
