People enjoyed good weather for the last day of the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis in May 2022.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Ask anyone who's been to Beale Street Music Fest in Memphis, and they'll probably tell you that the weekend often features wild weather including rain, thunderstorms, and even floods.

After all, May is one of the most active weather months in this part of the country.

This year, there is a chance of showers and storms each day of the Beale Street Music Festival - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - but it won't be a steady rain all day.

In fact, ABC24 meteorologists say that it's likely most of the weekend will turn out dry, with only a few showers at points in the day.

Essentially, have a poncho ready to go just in case one of those showers pops up over Tom Lee Park. But if we're lucky, you won't need to use it much.

Friday forecast

The best chance of rain and storms on Friday will be in the morning. Most of the afternoon and evening will be dry with only slight chances for showers. Temperatures will be in the 70s Friday evening.

Saturday forecast

Saturday is shaping up to be a mostly dry day with just a slight chance of a quick shower. Highs will be in the mid 80s with temperatures falling to the 70s by the evening.

Sunday forecast

Much like Saturday, most of Sunday will be dry, but there is a chance of spotty showers at any point in the day. The best chance of rain will come after sunset Sunday night. Highs will be in the mid 80s with temperatures falling through the 70s by the evening.
