Caught on camera: thieves with guns steal from Dollar General

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Two thieves with guns stole money from an Airport-area Dollar General this weekend and took off.

Memphis Police say just before 10pm Saturday the two men with black handguns went into the Dollar General at 1760 Winchester, followed employees to the cash registers, swiped cash, and took off running. The same suspects may be responsible for many other armed business robberies across the city.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male, about 5’10-6’0, 160-170 lbs., wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants, brown Timberland shoes, and green gloves.

The second suspect is about 5’7-5’9, 140-150 lbs., wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants, black and white sneakers and grey gloves, while carrying a red backpack.

MPD says there is a cash reward for any information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible. Call CrimeStoppers at 528-CASH.
