MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Memphis Police are searching for the suspects who they say shot at a woman in the Central Gardens area Sunday morning when they tried to rob her as she was walking her dog.

Police believe the suspects may be responsible for other attempted robberies in the area.

Police say about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, the woman was walking her dog on Carr near Willett when a black SUV pulled alongside her. The woman told police the right rear passenger window rolled down, and a man pointed a gun at her with a green laser, demanding earbuds. The woman said she told them she didn’t have any, and when she turned to get away, the suspect fired a shot, which grazed her dog’s paw and hit a home.

The SUV is a black crossover-style vehicle, possibly a Nissan Rogue. It has damage to the read driver’s side passenger door.

Police say three men were in the SUV, and none have been arrested.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
