Wooddale High School student charged with stealing electronics from classroom

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A Wooddale High School student is accused of breaking into the school and stealing electronics.

18-year-old Xavier King is charged with burglary and theft.

According to the police affidavit, a Wooddale High teacher called police about 7:00 a.m. Monday to report the school had been burglarized. Two 50” televisions and a portable speaker had been stolen from the teacher’s classroom.

School officials reviewed surveillance video, and found King in class. Police say King was developed as a suspect. Investigators say King admitted to the burglary and theft under questioning.

Bond has not yet been set.
