A Season of Song airs Sunday night on Local 24

A local stage, featuring local talent, staffed by local crews and presented via a local TV broadcast… A Season of Song, the first ever Holiday-time outdoor concert from the Memphis Botanic Garden will air this Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. on Local 24.  The broadcast is presented without commercial interruption by IndigoAg.

Staged this past Friday afternoon (November 29th), A Season of Song features Memphis’s own, the Paige’s (Kevin, Bethany and Stevie) as well as Briarcrest High School’s Reagan Strange with a special appearance by Santa Claus.  This rockin’ 90-minute concert has been boiled down to a 60 minute locally produced TV special featuring fourteen classic holiday songs as performed by the Paige’s, Strange, and an impressive 11-piece backup band interspersed with scenes from the Memphis Botanic Garden’s annual Holiday Wonders at the Garden seasonal light exhibit.

“We are so proud to present this Holiday TV special”, said Mike Allen – Executive Director of the Memphis Botanic Garden. “We constantly look for new and creative ways to utilize our beautiful outdoor stage and this concert presented the perfect opportunity to showcase outstanding local talent both on-stage and behind the scene with wonderful music and all of the unparalleled sights and sounds of Memphis’s newest and most unique holiday time light show – Holiday Wonders at the Garden” said Allen.

An encore of this concert will be broadcast on Saturday, December 14th at 6:00 p.m. on CW 30.
