MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – We’re less than three weeks away from the start of pre-season games for the Memphis Grizzlies, but the team’s dancers are already in mid-season form!
The Grizz Girls have been attending events all week and Thursday they were in Hickory Hill to help kids learn how to read. They joined International Paper employees in reading books to third, fourth, and fifth graders.
International Paper donated the book “Apollo the Spacedog” to all classrooms. The Grizz Girls also handed out team gear to the students.
Read to Achieve is an early literacy program designed to help young people develop a life-long love for reading.
