WEB EXTRA: University of Memphis President testifies during U.S. House subcommittee

WASHINGTON D.C. ( - University of Memphis President M. David Rudd was in Washington D.C. Thursday morning to testify before a U.S. House subcommittee.

The subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Innovation for the U.S. House Committee on Education and Labor held a hearing entitled “The Cost of Non-Completion: Improving Student Outcomes in Higher Education."

From the U of M: Pres. Rudd will offer testimony about the University of Memphis’ successful efforts to increase retention and graduation rates among vulnerable student populations, providing guidance to congressional leaders exploring federal policies to raise post-secondary completion rates across the nation.
