MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – As the school year winds down, Evangelical Christian School is ramping up its entertainment line-up to close out the year. And Sydney Jackson, a middle school student, is getting ready for her moment in the spotlight.
She is a triple-threat: singer, dancer, and now leading lady.
Starting this week, Sydney will take center stage in her first major acting role. She is one of the leads in the school’s production of Freaky Friday.
Also, with a few more practices until showtime, the ECS acapella group, ‘Grace Note’ will host their spring concert later this month.
“I have a solo, in one of them,” said Jackson. “It’s what I’ll be most nervous about, it’s a fun show and it’s the last one.”
Sydney is also in the National Junior Honor Society and Student Council.
Freaky Friday runs through Saturday.
