MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves made a campaign stop in Hernando Wednesday, just one day after former gubernatorial candidate Robert Foster endorsed his competitor former Justice Bill Waller Jr. in the race for Governor.

Reeves stopped at the Complete Home Center hardware store and met with supporters. The lieutenant governor says he’s not surprised Foster is endorsing opponent, and adds that he’s not concerned about any effect it could have on his campaign.

“We’re working to earn the support of every single Mississippian across our state. So obviously, we’re going to continue to work to continue to convince Mississippians to vote for us because we are the only candidate that is running that is a true conservative,” said Reeves.

The run-off election between Reeves and Waller Jr. is August 27th.
