MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Ronald McDonald House of Memphis and 98.1 The Max held their radiothon Friday. Local 24 Weeknight Anchor Katina Rankin was a guest celebrity that answered phones and took donations for the Ronald McDonald House.
Ronald McDonald House offers children with pediatric cancer and other catastrophic illnesses – who are undergoing treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – and their families a nurturing, family-centered residential community.
And it’s free of charge.
“We have such a fun house and a great experience with our children. And we try to make every day special. We do a lot of activities with our families and the radiothon makes it all possible,” said Jill Crocker, the Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis.
The Radiothon runs until 7:00 p.m. Friday night. You can call 1-800-230-KIDS to donate, or you can go to RadiothonMemphis.com to make your donation there.
