MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A local Ministry served the homeless in our community an early Thanksgiving meal Wednesday.
Serving in Christ Outreach Ministry hosted a Thanksgiving feast at First Congregational Church in Cooper-Young.
Organizers say they expected to serve as many 300 people.
“This is a time of thanksgiving, a time for us to reflect not only on the goodness of God and how thankful we are for what God is doing in our lives, but to be able to share with those who are less fortunate,” said Barbara Green, Pastor, Bethel AME.
This is the ninth year for the annual Thanksgiving feast at the church.
