MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – FedEx Cares teamed up with the Wolf River Conservancy and Clean Memphis to clean up part of the Wolf River Greenway Wednesday.
About a hundred FedEx employees spent time cleaning up the greenway along Epping Way, by planting wildflowers and trees and removing invasive plants.
The project is part of a grant sponsored by Memphis-based FedEx and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
FedEx says this is a great opportunity for the company to give back to Memphis.
“We’re here as part of our commitment to making the cities we live in cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally friendly, because we also live and work here. And so were excited to be here helping out,” said communications advisor Rachel Kesselman.
This is the 10th anniversary of the collaboration between FedEx and the National Fish And Wildlife Foundation.
