Memphis, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A local cable company is doing their part to make sure our students are inspired when they go to back to school. Local 24 News Weeknight Anchor Katina Rankin has this local good news.
One hundred (100) volunteers are joining forces to make things a little brighter for our local students.
Paint poured. Paint brushes in hand. Writing words of encouragement on the wall! That’s what Comcast employees are doing.
“Creating over 13 murals that will inspire and empower our students here at Humes daily,” said Comcast’s Evangeline Parker-Guest.
Step outside and you’ll see rakes, people pulling up weeds, and flowers waiting to be planted.
“It is important because our students are the future. They are our leaders in training,” said Parker-Guest. “We want to make sure that when they walk into the hallways of Humes Middle School, they are inspired to be of service, to give back to make changes, to make better happen not just today, but every day of their lives.”
Comcast’s Day of Service to inspire children is local good news.
