Local non-profit is “baking memories” for kids with life-threatening illnesses

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A local foundation is baking memories for kids who live with life-threatening or terminal illnesses.

The non-profit “Baking Memories 4 Kids” provides all-expense paid trips to those children and their families to take their minds off of the daily challenges, while making magical memories together.

5-year-old Trennen lives with Spina Bifida and has had nine major surgeries on his brain and spine.

The group surprised him and his sister Grayson with a much-needed vacation.

“They’ll be getting on a plane next October, and they will be heading down to Orlando, and they will get to go to Universal Studios, Sea World, Legoland, and all of the Florida amusement parks,” said Frank Squeo, Founder of Baking Memories 4 Kids. “Not only that, but they’re going to get front of the line passes in all the parks, so they’ll never have to wait on another line at any of the parks.”

This year, Baking Memories 4 Kids raised nearly $18,000 for local families through a partnership with 170 quick-service restaurants in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi.
