Local Omega Psi Phi Fraternity chapter serves Thanksgiving meals to homeless veterans

Local Good News

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A local fraternity showed thanks to our local veterans experiencing homelessness in the community. The Sigma Lambda Lambda chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity served an “owtstanding” Thanksgiving dinner to veterans at Barron Heights Transitional Center Wednesday.

The center houses homeless veterans and works with them to help them transition back into society after serving in the military.

“Personally, what this means for me is, I see all the veterans that are in the seat that I once was in, and the passion for me is to do what I can with all my power to make sure they don’t stay in that seat,” said Keith Millbrook, Executive Director, Barron Heights Community Development Corp.

The fraternity served about 60 people.
