HERNANDO, Miss. (localmemphis.com) – There are more than 32,000 children and adults in Desoto County, Mississippi, who have trouble putting food on the table.
That’s why the Mid-South Food Bank delivered fresh fruit and vegetables, along with cereal and other food items, to Hernando United Methodist Church Tuesday.
Volunteers helped with set-up, food packaging, and handing out bags of food. Families received enough food for two weeks.
Volunteers are needed for two more distribution dates in July. Learn more HERE.
