The West Tennessee Youth Chorus is heading to the White House. The singers have been invited to perform for the National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, D.C.
Monday, Local 24 News caught up with them at rehearsal in Cordova for the big day in our nation’s capitol. This is the third time the West Tennessee Youth Chorus has performed for a U.S. President at the National Christmas Tree Lighting.
The students say they are excited and ready to represent west Tennessee at the capitol.
“I feel like this is a great opportunity for us to just really go out into the world and show this is our choir, this is what we are here to do, we’re professional,” said Toby Harrell with the West Tennessee Youth Chorus.
The National Christmas Tree Lighting is Thursday.
