MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Baptist Women’s Hospital has about $100,000 in free money for mammograms. So officials are urging women to get tested.
Reps say if they don’t use the grant, they lose it. And the money must be spent on screening for breast cancer. But you have to qualify financially.
“The grant allows us to provide all diagnostic and screening services. From screening mammogram, diagnostic mammogram, ultrasound, biopsies if needed. Anyone who meets the financial requirements is eligible for these grants,” says Nikki Gast, administrative director for the Women’s Health Center.
The funding is a combination of multiple grants aimed to help the uninsured and under-insured.
Call 901-227-PINK to find out if you qualify.
Those who do can either schedule an appointment with the hospital or its mobile mammography unit.
