New information released on measles exposure in Tennessee & Mississippi

(localmemphis.com) – Tennessee and Mississippi health officials are desperately trying to track down people exposed to the measles.

This comes as the nation’s health leaders confirmed Wednesday measles cases have climbed to their highest level in 25 years.

Tennessee officials are now releasing two locations where an infected man traveled.

  1. A Mapco on Browns Ferry Road in Chattanooga on April 11th.
  2. The Speedway on North Charles Seivers Boulevard in Clinton on April 12th.

Mississippi has also added a new area of concern from the Tennessee victim who traveled to Hattiesburg. On top of a Subway and Raising Cane’s, fe also visited the food court at Turtle Creek Mall on April 10th.

Officials warn that unvaccinated people have a 90% chance of infection.  Symptoms include fever, runny nose, cough, and a rash in some cases.

If you think you’ve been infected, call a doctor before going out in public.
