High School student in Arkansas shoots, kills self at school, superintendent says

CONCORD, Ark. (KARK) – The superintendent of Concord Public Schools says one student is dead after he shot and killed himself in a cafeteria restroom.

The superintendent says there were not any other students present where the shooting happened. 

The Cleburne County Sheriff says the schools were placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon. 

The superintendent says classes will be canceled Thursday and Friday, and grief counselors will be on hand Monday for staff and students.
