Woman dies after plane crash on Ole Miss golf course

OXFORD, Miss. (localmemphis.com)- A woman is dead after a civil air patrol plane crashed on the Ole Miss Golf Course Saturday afternoon. 

According to tweets from Oxford Mayor, Robyn Tannehill and Starkville’s Mayor, Lynn Spruill the victim is Lake Little.  Local 24 News has learned the small plane was performing “touch and go” takeoffs at the nearby Ole Miss Airport when it crashed around 3:15 p.m. Near the course’s 17th tee box.

Little, the only person onboard was the pilot and was seriously burned.
