LAUDERDALE CO, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation made good on its promise and handed out money to those who helped agents capture prison escapee and murder suspect Curtis Watson.

Watson was on the run for five days earlier this summer after investigators say he killed jail administrator Debra Johnson.

Watson was eventually spotted on a home security camera, and the homeowners called police while watching him rummage through a refrigerator.

The TBI awarded a total of $32,250.
