Shirts will be given out while supplies last on the day of the race.

From the Shelby County Education Foundation: The “Race for Education” was started in 2001 by a group of parents who wanted to help raise much needed funds for programs, such as art, academic, and athletics that were scheduled to be cut to balance the school’s budget. Thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors, proceeds from the registration fees, go directly back to the classroom. The proceeds from registration fees go directly to the school that you designate on your registration form. Each school will decide with the help of principals, parents and teachers, how to best use the funds they receive from the proceeds of the race.
