WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (localmemphis.com) - One person is dead after two semi-trucks crashed on I-40 near West Memphis Saturday afternoon.
According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation, a semi-truck carrying clothes, jewelry and other merchandise crashed into another semi-truck near mile marker 260 around noon.
One of the trucks caught fire killing the driver.
All lanes were closed as ARDOT cleaned the debris off the highway.
Lanes are back open tonight.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
