2 charged after attempted robbery and crash in Northeast Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- Memphis Police have charged two sisters after an attempted robbery and crash in Northeast Memphis.

Officials identified the women as 27-year-old Elakima Muhaimin and 35-year-old Victoria Aldridge.

Police say the exchange between the sisters and Christopher Whitten happened in front of the Cracker Barrel on Shelby Oaks Drive near Sycamore View on Saturday.

Muhaimin was charged with aggravated robbery false reporting, and criminal impersonation. Aldridge was charged with aggravated robbery.

The victim rammed his jeep into the women’s car after he says they attempted to rob him at the Red Roof Inn next door.

Both ladies are expected in court Monday at 9:00 a.m.
